Emergency Services Clinician – Part Time

Seeking a Masters level clinician for a part time, on call position. Must have current licensure in the State of New Hampshire and be available to work a minimum of three shifts per month.  Position does not include benefits and is paid at flat rate per shift, depending on day or night, and length of shift.  Requires interacting with a broad range of clients, including severely mentally ill population.  Position requires significant skill in clinical diagnosis and therapeutic interventions, ability to interface with various community agencies, organizations, and interdisciplinary staff.

In SHAPE Health Mentor
The Adult Services Program of SMHC is looking for an energetic, dedicated, and experienced individual to join our Portsmouth based clinical team.  This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the In SHAPE program including, but not limited to: Assisting In SHAPE members to develop and implement their personal wellness program, provides support and education related to physical fitness, nutrition, and wellness, providing group activity instruction, working independently in community settings with individual consumers or leading group activities, and participating in the dissemination process to bring In SHAPE to other communities.

The ideal candidate is required to possess a Personal Trainer Certification.  A Bachelors Degree in Health Science, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Education or related field is recommended.  Good interpersonal/relationship building skills, organizational skills and experience working collaboratively with one or more individuals to help accomplish a goal or behavior change are essential.

Family Outreach Therapist

Seeking a clinician for the Child, Adolescent and Family Services Department in our Exeter Office to provide clinical services to children identified with a severe emotional disturbance and their families.  The clinician will provide intake assessments, family and individual treatment, targeted case management and functional support services.  Services will be delivered in the office, family’s homes and community settings.  Experience with children, adolescents and family work preferred. Outreach Specialist
The Adult Services Department of SMHC is looking for an energetic, dedicated, experienced individual to join our Portsmouth-based treatment team. This position requires coordinating services and providing direct support, advocacy and assertive outreach to adults with mental illness. The ideal applicant will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or the equivalent and preferably have one year of experience working in the field. Ability to work in a team setting and experience with crisis intervention, dual diagnosis and state systems, a plus.

Spectrum Family Outreach Specialist

Provide children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum disorder with a framework to develop and/or maintain growth and supports necessary to manage his/her symptoms in the most appropriate, natural settings. Minimize negative effects of symptoms which interfere with personal development and community integration. Integrate proven behavioral management techniques with pro-social skills development, accountability and results. Training in psychopharmacology, principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis, crisis intervention, and monthly clinical supervision provided. Spectrum Family Outreach Specialists work a full time schedule, which requires afternoon/evening availability. Bachelor’s degree in social work, human service or related field required. Previous experience working with behavioral disorders recommended. Dedication to children with spectrum disorders a must. Group Home Manager
The Adult Services Program is seeking an energetic and compassionate mental health professional to manage the Center’s eight-bed group home for persons recovering from severe and persistent mental illness.  The manager is responsible for oversite of the entire operation of the program, including but not limited to providing administrative and clinical supervision to staff, maintaining records according to agency and state policies, providing direct services to consumers, overseeing the annual re-certification processes, on call coverage, and coordinating admissions to, and discharges from, the group home.  Supervisory experience, preferably in a residential setting, and a master’s degree in human services is required.  NH License is preferred.  This is a challenging and varied position offering opportunities for leadership, management and direct service.  Interested candidates should send cover letter and resume to Lorraine Mansfield, Executive Assistant or e-mail same to jobs@smhc-nh.org.
