THE CENTER FOR LEARNING & ATTENTION DISORDERS

The Center for Learning and Attention Disorders is a program of Seacoast Mental Health Center, Inc. serving the needs of children, adults, and families who are coping with learning, attention, or behavior problems. We offer both diagnostic and treatment services for individuals of all ages addressing problems in the home, school, or the workplace.

Services offered by The Center for Learning and Attentions Disorders include:
     Psychological and Neuropsychological Evaluations
     Psychotherapeutic Services
     Parent Training
     Consultation and Training Services for schools and agencies
     Development of Positive Behavior Support Plans

Medical and Forensic Neuropsychology

For Physicians: This clinical program provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations of school age children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with mild to moderate head injury, seizure disorder, cerebral vascular disease, early stage dementing disorders, and neuro-toxin exposure.

For Attorneys: This program offers disability and competency evaluations on cases involving known or suspected neurobehavioral impairment including head injury. This service also offers criminal and sanity evaluations, mental competency evaluations, fitness for duty assessment, and evaluation for malingering.

Intervention Services: Cognitive remediation and behavioral management strategies together with family education and counseling/psychotherapy services are available.

The Staff at CLAD include: Dr. Richard Guare, Ph.D., Director of CLAD, and Margaret Dawson, Ed.D.
